Dogs offence continues to overwhelm Pete’s

The Hamilton Bulldogs have the Peterborough Pete’s on the brink of elimination. 

The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead in the Ontario Hockey League first round series between the two teams with a 7-2 win on Wednesday.

Mason McTavish scored twice, Avery Hayes continued his run of form with two goals, Ryan Winterton scored his first of the playoffs, Sam Afalo scored his second of the postseason, and Logan Morrison added his playoff leading sixth goal. 

Michael Constantini was solid between the pipes for the Bulldogs, turning aside 23 of the 25 shots he faced, while Michael Simpson allowed seven goals on 28 shots.   

Hamilton can advance to the second round of the OHL playoffs with a win over the Pete’s in Game 4,  tonight at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
